Investing your money wisely in professional wedding photography to ensure the memories of your big day live on forever, for all the right reasons!
Chiddingstone Castle weddings are held at an impressive historic house filled with exotic treasures in an idyllic country setting.
Normally a public attraction but for your wedding day the Castle and grounds are closed to the public for offering you exclusive use throughout the day. They have three separate areas licensed for the ceremony. During summer months most couples opt for a ceremony at the Orangery in the grounds, followed by drinks on the formal raised lawn, before coming inside to the Great Hall and the drawing room for the wedding breakfast and evening reception.
During the winter months, or in wet weather, the ceremony is by no means compromised by coming inside to the majestic Great Hall, a grand, formal room of Tudor heritage reflected in its oak panelling. The bridal couple sign the register at the 17th Century oak refectory table beneath the stained glass window.
An aisle is created from the Print Room behind and, following the ceremony, drinks and canapés can be served in the White Rose Drawing Room adjacent, a light and elegant room with breath taking views of the Weald and walls hung with paintings of the Stuart monarchs.
They are able to accommodate a range of guest numbers, from smaller parties under 50 up to 80 for a wedding breakfast in the Great Hall, followed by an evening reception of up to 120. We regularly erect our marquee in the grounds which gives you freedom to invite up to 120 guests for the full day from ceremony through to evening reception.
The castle is situated on the edge of the idyllic Tudor village of Chiddingstone, with the ancient parish church of St Mary’s often used by couples for a traditional marriage service.
The bride and groom can lead a picturesque procession through the impressive village gate and across the footbridge over the lake to the castle.
At Chiddingstone Castle every wedding is unique; attention to detail is very evident, flexibility is key and the whole team is here to make everyone feel calm, relaxed and at home.
This venue should be on your list of wedding venues for consideration and here are some of my other favourite kent wedding venues!
