Colchester Castle Park pre-wedding session

Check out the details of Helen and Andy’s pre-wedding session, ahead of their winter wedding, later this month.

I love a winter pre-wedding session. Perfect lighting that the camera loves, offers an added element of romance, which always looks great in the finished photos.

I was super excited for Helen and Andy’s pre-wedding session this month, especially as their two daughters were also joining us. We decided upon Colchester Castle Park and although the weather was a little drizzly, it thankfully didn’t last too long, or impact on our session.

As always, I kicked off the pre-wedding session with a chat about their wedding day, which will take place later this month at the stunning Stoke by Nayland Hotel, Golf & Spa in Colchester, Essex. The session gave us a chance to talk about the vibe for their day. I also got my thinking cap on about the venue’s locations, which will work particularly well for the style of their photos.

After this, we got straight into the session, using the park’s many picturesque backdrops for photos. Although it’s winter, the park was still full of colour, which definitely popped. At the beginning, we concentrated on just Helen and Andy. Their little girls also joined in the fun towards the end of the session, which gave their collection of photos a lovely touch.

I’m really looking forward to Helen and Andy’s magical winter wedding, later this month. A Christmas wedding is always wonderful, with the festive atmosphere contributing to what I’m sure will be a truly wonderful day.
