Sophie & Dan’s wedding took place earlier this month at the appropriately named ‘That Amazing Place‘ in Harlow, Essex. The venue really allows couples with a unique taste to add their personal stamp to their wedding day and Sophie and Dan did just that.
I arrived to meet an excited Sophie with her sister and two other bridesmaids. While spirits were high, surprisingly everything was calm and orderly as hair and make-up set to work. Therefore, I used this time to capture some details shots, with the girls’ dresses and accessories serving as a great focal point for these photos.
Dan and his Best Man (twin brother Adam) arrived a little later with his twin brother in his all-time favourite car, a Nissan Skyline GTR. Dan complemented his wedding attire with a wrist watch, which was his late grandfather’s.
The groom’s party definitely looked the part.
Sophie presented both Dan and her dad with personalised cufflinks, which they received on the morning of the wedding as a special gift. It was a thoughtful gesture which went down a storm with the gents.
The ceremony room at ‘That Amazing Place’ was a perfect fit for Sophie and Dan’s family and close friends to witness their marriage. Everyone had a prime viewing position.
Following the ceremony, it was time for photos. While the weather was a little unpredictable with intermittent showers in the morning, these were on and off throughout the day, so we were able to nip outside between downpours for some truly memorable photos.
The grounds at The Amazing Place presented a wealth of gorgeous photo opportunities, meaning that Sophie and Dan have some lovely photos to mark such a momentous occasion.
I love these shots of Sophie and Dan framed under the garden’s beautiful canopy of trees.
Guests entered the reception room and were definitely impressed. Beautiful pastel flowers popped against crisp white and cream hues and the cake which was crafted by Dan’s mum was a talking point, for sure.
Sophie’s Dad kicked things off with his speech, recalling stories of Sophie and how proud he was to be at her special day. Dan followed next and then his brother concluded proceedings with funny stories of the things both he and Dan got up to over the years.
Following this, all that was left to do was to dance the night away. Congratulations to an amazing couple. Thank-you for inviting me to capture your wedding day.
