Meeting and Booking process
I like to kick things off with a face-to-face meeting to discuss your plan and what you would like from me as a wedding photographer. First and foremost, for us all, is capturing great photos which effortlessly tell the story of your day, but I also like to develop an understanding in regards to the style you would like to achieve and how you would like your photos presented.
We will find the perfect package for you by taking a look at the different options available, and finding the one which matches your needs.
When we’re all in agreement and you’ve seen my work and are happy with the process for your wedding photography, the next step is to confirm your booking by signing a contract and paying the booking fee. This guarantees your date and avoids double bookings. We will lay out exactly what your package includes, as well as the cost and payment dates. Nothing is hidden – everything is up-front and fully explained.
Discussions
When you book your wedding package with me, you are getting much more than just a wedding photographer. Of course, I will be on-hand to help you plan your photography for your big day, but having been fully immersed in the wedding industry for years, I am armed with great knowledge, tips and advice on the industry as a whole.
As your wedding day approaches, a plan will be in place which affords us a great vision on how your photos will tell the story of your special day. From this, I will guide you through the photographic opportunities and ensure that it is possible for me to capture all photos that you want, whatever the weather. This way we can ensure everything is covered, and more!
Pre-wedding session
My most popular wedding packages includes a pre-wedding session, which is a fun way to not only capture the memory of your engagement, but you’ll gain the advantage of being photographed as a couple professionally, ahead of the big day. This relaxed session is the perfect ice-breaker, helping to put you at ease in front of the camera and a fab way for us all to get to know each other. I welcome valuable feedback on the images, which helps craft a great understanding of what exactly you want for your wedding album. Plus, by the time the wedding day comes around, you’ll both be pros in front of the camera.
The session affords us the opportunity to get creative with poses and we’ll discuss everything from how to hold your bouquet, to what to do with you hands. This way, you’ll be totally comfortable on the day and your wedding photos will effortlessly flow.
Your day
As the bridal preparations kick off, I’ll arrive at your chosen destination two hours before the service to catch the essence of the excitement build-up. This time also gives me the chance to capture all those little detail shots, and I’ll help you relax into some photos before the ceremony.
Following this, I’ll leave for the ceremony to get some photos of the groomsmen, rings and reportage photography of the guests arriving – all the little details which you don’t see yourself at the time.
Throughout the ceremony, I’ll unobtrusively shoot away, to capture a true perception of your day. Following this, it’s your time to shine, as I steal you both away for a few quiet moments to shoot some photographs of your newlywed glow, in and around your venue ahead of your wedding breakfast and speeches. After this, I’ll continue to photograph all those little moments of the day, right up until just after your first dance, or even longer if required.
Your viewing
I fully understand that following the wedding and honeymoon, the thing that couples look forward to the most is receiving that all important wedding album, which is why I work professionally to ensure that your photos ready for viewing within 4 weeks of your wedding date, which will normally take place at your home. I will show you a selection of photos which tell the story of your day through a slide show set to music. I’ll also provide you with the necessary details to access the full gallery of photos through my online gallery. Next, we’ll discuss your package and options and I will be more than happy to answer any of your questions.
