The 29th of June 2019 was both the hottest day of the year and the date of Clare and Karl’s stunning wedding at Little Channels in Essex.
On the gloriously sunny morning, I arrived as Clare and her bridesmaids were preparing for the day ahead. It was easy to see straight away that so much thought and attention had gone into their wedding. With so many gorgeous details, I kicked things off by photographing those finishing touches, including the dresses, jewellery, accessories and flowers. In particular, I loved the choice of blue hues, which popped throughout.
Everyone was in great form as they helped Clare get ready! After capturing some photos of the bridal party, I headed to meet Karl and the boys, getting some shots of them prior to the ceremony.
Given the gorgeous weather, I was delighted with the decision to hold the ceremony outside, under a lovely covered canopy area. With beautiful natural light and guests dressed for the occasion, the ceremony was one of the many highlights of the day.
After the ceremony, due to the temperature, we decided to focus on group photos, leaving Clare and Karl’s creative photos until after the wedding breakfast, when it was more comfortable.
After the beautiful meal, speeches and cutting of the cake, I stole the happy couple away for some time on their own to carry out their creative shoot. By this stage in the day, Clare and Karl were relaxed, which helped make capturing their photos a breeze. We took advantage of the gorgeous gardens at Little Channels, using the various beautiful backdrops to take some memorable photos.
Afterwards, we returned indoors, joining the rest of the guests for the newlyweds’ first dance. All that was left to do was dance the night away and help Clare and Karl celebrate in style.
