Maria & Darren’s Wedding at Cooling Castle

I’ve been looking forward to Maria & Darren’s wedding at Cooling Castle Barns for sometime now and their fabulous day lived up to all expectations. After photographing them at their prewedding session (click here to see their prewedding session photos) last month and having spent time discussing their plans for sometime it was great to see it finally all come together.

Cooling Castle Barns is a lovely wedding venue full of photographic opportunities and here is a very small selection of the photos I got of them on their big day.

I am loving the red dresses worn by the bridesmaids which contrasted nicely with Maria’s wedding dress. The Castle turrets in the background really are a feature of the venue and just add to that special occasion.

There was plenty of banter between the Groom and Bestman especially with the football rivalry that two North London teams have, and this set the scene nicely for the day. Plenty of ribbing on both sides (all good I might add) which really helped to calm the nerves for the pair of them.

A few nervous laughs before the ceremony for the groomsmen before the anxious wait for the bride to walk down the aisle. As the ceremony got under way there were a few tears of joy and laughter before the important part of exchanging the vowels and rings.

After the ceremony I whisked Maria and Darren away for a few photos of them in the grounds of Cooling Castle Barns before they got swamped with congratulations and well wishes from their family and guests.

We had some great group photos in the gardens and the little flower girls with their shawls and little Archie looked so cute. The Toast Master was great and between us we breezed through countless groups whilst having lots of fun with the guests.

The talented Groom made the very impressive table plan, something completely unique for their wedding day and a table plan design that I’ve never seen before. The banter between the Groom and Bestman continued into the speeches with many funny stories told. There was laughter throughout and plenty of funny jokes thrown in the mix.

Following the speeches there was the traditional cutting of the cake.

After the cutting of their cake we had a few minutes to pop outside for some night time photos before starting the first dance.

I couldn’t leave the venue or their wedding without getting a silhouette photo of them together with the turrets. Are great way to finish off their wedding album.

I really enjoyed photographing their wedding day at Cooling Castle Barns and also their prewedding session at Greenwich Park.
