Devonport House Wedding with Lucy & Rhian

Weddings at Devonport House are always fun filled and great to photograph. Lucy and Rhian’s wedding was no exception and perfect in every way.

Now that civil ceremonies are officially recognised their wedding day took on extra importance for them and for me this had to be one the best civil ceremonies I’ve attended in a long time. I had a great time photographing two lovely ladies whose wedding day went perfectly.

Everything from their choice of colour theme, flowers, wedding dresses to favour details were meticulously chosen to match their personalities and perfectly complimented each other.

They were surrounded by their friends and family throughout the day with a beautiful service, wedding breakfast and we even had the opportunity to take some great photos in Greenwich Park. Plenty of onlookers and well-wishers were on hand to congratulate them on their big day and for the future ahead.

Below is a small collection of their photos from their day:

I love the back lighting of Rhian’s wedding dress which helped to show off the simplicity yet sophistication of a beautiful wedding dress.

Devonport House has a fantastic ceremony room which is so light and airy it helps to make colours just pop! I love stunning bright and vibrant photos and Lucy and Rhians flowers helped achieve just that.

A beautifully decorated wedding breakfast room with a chocolate wedding cake to die for. The ultimate dream for a chocoholic and its looked fantastic too.

Walking through Greenwich park with two stunning brides was simply superb. They received so many well wishes and congratulations from random strangers it was great! Here are just a few photos that we got when things quietened down

Throwing of the bouquet always causes a stir but when there is a hockey team in the mix things do get somewhat competitive. Fortunately there were two bouquets so that helped to minimise on the chaos that could have ensued.
